The early stages of executive orders hint at what might be coming down the pipe. Also, the administration may hint at potential action to rescind existing orders. Below are all the drafts currently circulating or proposed actions (most recent first):
1. Trump to rescind the Obama-era executive order “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA).
DACA protects undocumented immigrants who have arrived in the United States as children from deportation. Because the DACA policy is based on a series of executive orders and agency policy memoranda, the President need only write a new executive order to rescind the policy. There is no further procedure needed because these were not notice-and-comment rulemaking, or legislation passed through Congress.
